In Honour
A donation to Heart-Links in honour of a friend or relative is a meaningful way to make a gift. The most common in honour donations are made to recognize occasions such as birthdays, retirements, wedding anniversaries, or other special events that have made a difference in the life of an individual or a family. We will send the individual(s) named a card notifying them of the gift made in their honour. You will be sent a charitable receipt for the gift.

In Memoriam
One way of doing something special to remember and honour a loved one who has passed away is to make a donation to Heart-Links in their memory. We will send a card to the family informing them of your gift and we will send you the charitable receipt. Who will your gift help?
People like Maria. María has seven children and is caring for them on her own. Three of her children have disabilities. Often Maria can only work one day a week because of poor health.
For years she struggled to find her children the care they needed, but due to the rules in the local public school, they often faced expulsion when they had an outburst. Staff at the school insisted on “more medicine, more medicine” and were not very patient with the children, she says. They would push to have them medicated, even when they have not been diagnosed.
Maria finally found help from the supportive disabilities program run by Madre Oliva Association and funded by Heart-Links. Now her children are in school and all three have proper diagnoses. “There’s no way I could ever repay what I’ve been given here,” Maria told us.
